What Goes Around Comes Around...

I am afraid that I am a bit behind everybody else on this one - well, almost everybody else. Just recently, I was able to finish the entire first season of NBC's popular series called Prison Break. Owing to my being a fan of Heroes, I was very hesitant to watch Prison Break at first, thinking that nothing could equal my favorite TV series. But then, something happened. I watched Prison Break. I have to admit, the first episode I saw was the fourth, or maybe the fifth (the one where there was a riot in Fox River). And, lo and behold, I couldn't find the energy to leave me seat in the living room, even just to take a leak! I watched it, and I liked it.
What made me like it? Well, it's the suspense that is not dragging; it is the intricately woven story line that carries everything forward (and leaves the viewers always asking for more); it is the fancy characterizations of the people in jail; it is the brilliance of Michael Scofield; it is the weirdness of T-bag, coupled with his vulgar wit and humor. In short, it is everything that there is in the series that I liked. While it may be true that Heroes also has these elements, Prison Break contains them in its own special flavor. In any case, there is certainly something about Prison Break that simply blew my mind and left me suspending my disbelief longer than any other TV series has done (but excluding, of course, Heroes).
I give Prison Break a 5.5 out of 5!
